Handmade in raffia palm leaf, with an applique of bold, graphic, geometric and angular motifs.  The Kuba Cloth orgininates from Democratic Republic of the Congo

    This beautifully textile is carefully attached to the back frame and sits in its own space. There is a 2.5cm spacer so the piece sits back into the breathable frame.

    Our acrylic box frames have a split batten and a keyhole mirror plate, either one will allow the piece to sit flat against the wall.

  • PROVENANCE

    Kuba Cloth orginates from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  Kuba cloth is traditionally made from raffia palm leaves, the process is very time consuming.  Traditionally it was made for celemonial reasons like headdresses and royal robes.

  • CARE

    With all our frames use a soft cloth to remove any marks. We recommend a microfibre cloth for cleaning. Do not use anything abrasive.
